Preparing to Present

So you've submitted your proposal and been selected to present at WatITis. What do you need to do now? Here's a handy list to help you out:

  1. Submit a short description of your presentation for use on the website, written in the third person (e.g. "Jamie will" instead of "I will"). Include a "technical level" from 100 to 300 (with "100" being "little technical content" and "300" being "highly technical".
  2. Create your presentation. A PowerPoint template is available for download.
  3. Provide a thirty second(ish) bio that your moderator will use as an introduction to your session. This will also be posted on the website with your session info.
  4. Practice your presentation. Keep in mind these top ten tips and suggestions for giving a good presentation.
  5. Submit a copy of your presentation, or a link to its location if it is web based, to attach to your session information on the website after the conference.
